New York Head & Neck Institute

The mission of the New York Head & Neck Institute is to provide integrated "state of the art" care for all aspects of Head & Neck Surgery and Medicine at a single location (Manhattan).

With this integrated structure, patient diagnosis is enhanced and treatment is expedited, leading to optimal recovery even for the most difficult clinical problems.

An additional mission of the Institute is advanced research on the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases affecting the Head & Neck, along with teaching surgeons advanced techniques to treat these diseases.
 
To achieve this integrated approach, the Institute is composed of six Centers of Excellence focusing on all aspects of Otolaryngology (ENT)

• Cranial Base Surgery
• Craniofacial Reconstructive Surgery
• Endocrine Tumors (Thyroid, Parathyroid, and Pituitary) 
• Head & Neck Oncology
• Sinus & Allergy Problems
• Sleep Disorders

In addition to these Centers of Excellence, unique programs are also in place which focus on:

• Hearing & Balance disorders

• Facial Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Rejuvenation

• Otologic (ear) problems

• Aero-digestive & Respiratory Inflammatory Diseases

• Transplantation procedures replace the Face, Larynx, and Trachea (the only such program in the United States). 

Every Center within the Institute offers minimally invasive surgical techniques that facilitate early hospital discharge, rapid healing, and superior cosmesis. Examples include endoscopic tumor removal through limited incisions or the nose, rapid intraoperative hormone assessment for parathyroid tumors, image guided sinus and skull base surgery etc. As a result, The New York Head & Neck Institute is uniquely capable, not only locally, but within the United States and beyond.
